GABBY Press is the imprint publishing company of books written by Laurie Thomas Vass.
She is an economist and constitutional theorist who believes American political polarization has reached a point where red state citizens must craft alternative governing systems that reconstruct the relations between states and the national government.
She has written 16 books, available for sale, on this website, and has written over 150 scholarly articles on the global platforrm Social Science Research Network.
She is currently ranked in the top 2 tenths of 1% of the 2.8 milllion economists, globally, on the SSRN website.
With a background as a registered investment advisor for 30 years, she was recognized by Peter Tanous in The Wealth Equation as one of the top 100 private money managers in the nation. She also served as an arbitrator for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) before it became the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
Her professional achievements include inventing a patented research method for selecting technology stocks (U.S. Patent 7,251,627, issued July 31, 2007), based on her theory of technology evolution.
Additionally, Vass has a strong interest in North Carolina history and public policy, having contributed 25 documents to the University of North Carolina’s Carolina Collection and played a role in shaping economic policy discussions in the state.
She advocates for decentralized state sovereignty governance and entrepreneurial capitalism as alternatives to what she describes as predatory corporate globalism.
Vass holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Regional Economic Development Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
